#10MONTENEGRO: The ā€˜Fjords to the Seaā€™ Edition

šŸ“… When: 3-6 October 2025
šŸ“ Where: Herceg Novi, Montenegro

UltraSwim 33.3 #10Montenegro is the original Epic Adventure Swim Raceā„¢ and the founding event of our series. Returning for its fourth time in 2025, this iconic ā€˜Fjords to the Seaā€™ Edition promises a thrilling challenge with a country-to-country channel crossing from Croatia to Montenegro.

Swimmers will navigate through an abandoned submarine pen, around a prison island, and the famous Blue Cave, starting the marathon 10km swim if the Adriatic coastline weather permits. Montenegro offers a unique mix of wild mountains, deep fjords, and a rugged Adriatic coastline, producing a variety of conditions perfect for an Epic Adventure Swim Raceā„¢. The venue near the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, with accommodations at the Lazure Hotel Spa & Marina in Herceg Novi, provides a stunning backdrop for this adventure.

The course around the Lustica peninsula includes starting inside a giant ā€˜blueā€™ cave, a full loop of an old prison island as an untimed section, and a race mark inside an abandoned submarine base from the Yugoslavia era.

Water temperatures are expected between 20-22Ā°C, with occasional patches around 15-18Ā°C due to isolated cold springs, making it suitable for both skins and wetsuits.
