Your goggles are the single most important piece of equipment you'll use when swimming, and taking proper care of them is crucial to your success in the pool. Keeping your goggles free of scratches, marks, and dirt is very important and can help them last longer. It's something a lot of swimmers unfortunately skip out on.
Here are some tips for how to keep your prized swim goggles in tip-top shape:
After a workout, don't just simply toss your wet goggles into your bag and leave. Instead, consider purchasing a goggle case. A case would prevent your goggles from banging up against all of the other equipment in your bag, and it would protect them from scratches and dents. It’s something that might add a few extra seconds to your routine, but if you want to prolong the lifespan of your goggles and see better in the water, it’s definitely worth it.
Fun-fact, all of our goggles come with their own unique carrying case! Our cases even feature a built in drainage system to ensure your goggles are dry and free of moisture for your next swim.
Anti-fog is the perfect way to make sure your goggles are as clear as the day you first bought them. Over time, every pair of goggles will eventually start to fog. Goggles fog up because of the difference in temperature between the water, the goggles, and your skin. Warm and wet air, usually created from your body heat as you swim, condenses inside the lenses.A lot of swimmers attempt to wipe the lenses in order to get rid of the fog. This can lead to micro-scratches on the inside of the lens that worsen over time.
Instead of dealing with the constant hassle of wiping them off, invest in some anti-fog spray. Just one spray into each lens is enough to keep your goggles crystal clear throughout your entire practice and can keep the lenses free from scratches.

Wash Your Goggles
It’s a good idea to wash your goggles from time to time. This can remove any dirt or stains that accumulate, cleaning your swimming goggles is an important step in maintaining their clarity and ensuring they last as long as possible.
To clean your goggles properly: rinse your goggles in clean, warm water before and after each use. This will help remove any chlorine or salt water that may have accumulated on the lenses or straps.
Use a mild, non-abrasive soap or a specific goggle cleaner to clean the lenses. Avoid using any harsh chemicals or detergents as these can damage the lenses and cause them to fog up. Be careful not to get the soap onto the lenses or gaskets of your goggles. Soap can strip away the anti-fog coating on goggles.
Rinse the goggles thoroughly to remove any soap or cleaner residue. Shake off any excess water and leave the goggles to air dry, preferably in a well-ventilated area.
If your goggles have accumulated mold or dirt within the lenses, take a damp q-tip to clean the inside of the lense.
Take good care of your goggles and they’ll take even better care of you.
