Fun fact

Before he was an Olympic medalist, Hayden Wilde was a professional landscaper who became the youngest-ever winner of a Coast to Coast category at age 16.

“You shouldn’t be thinking about your goggles when you’re racing,” Wilde said. “Even small distractions can break focus. With these, you put them on and you trust them. There’s no adjusting on the pontoon. It’s just focus and go.”
Hayden Wilde, nicknamed “The Falcon,” is a two-time Olympic medalist who captured bronze at Tokyo 2020 and silver at Paris 2024 after a memorable battle with rival Alex Yee. He has established himself across multiple formats of the sport, winning the 2021 XTERRA World Championship in off-road racing and the 2022 Super League Triathlon title in short-course competition. In December 2025, he became T100 World Champion with victory at the championship final in Qatar, completing a remarkable season with six wins from seven starts. He added another major crown in September 2026, winning the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice and holding off Kristian Blummenfelt by just 18 seconds. Just six days later, he successfully defended his French Riviera T100 title, reinforcing his status as one of triathlon’s most versatile champions.
