We’re proud to announce that 3x Olympian and European record holder Kira Toussaint has joined THEMAGIC5 as our new Athlete Advisor. With three Olympic campaigns, 54 international medals, and 11 world championships to her name, Kira brings a world of experience to our team.

Kira joins THEMAGIC5 to collaborate closely with our internal teams—supporting product development, strengthening athlete outreach, and helping to further solidify our presence within the competitive swimming world. With her elite knowledge and personal experience at the top of the sport, she is a perfect bridge between innovation and the real-world needs of high-performance athletes.

“I’m a Dutch swimmer and I specialize in backstroke and freestyle and I’ve competed in three Olympic games—that’s me,” she says with a smile. But there’s much more behind that introduction. Toussaint has spent her life pushing the limits of what’s possible in the pool—and now, she’s bringing that energy and mindset to help shape the future of swimming technology.

For Kira, joining THEMAGIC5 is a continuation of her pursuit of performance excellence. “Every split second counts and goggles do make a difference,” she says. She credits the trust and confidence in her equipment as one of the often-overlooked marginal gains that can make or break a race. “It’s so important that you can trust your goggles for not falling off, because when you’re behind the block, that’s something that shouldn’t even cross your mind.”

Her new role is not just a title—it’s a statement of intent. For athletes, having someone like Kira involved in shaping products means their voices are heard and their challenges are understood. It demonstrates THEMAGIC5’s commitment to creating gear that doesn’t just look good or feel fast, but is deeply rooted in the performance needs of elite swimmers.

As the gap between good and great continues to narrow in competitive swimming, these kinds of details—the marginal gains—matter more than ever. Kira’s insight into performance, mindset, and race preparation will help us continue pushing boundaries with purpose-driven innovation.

And for Kira, this partnership is personal. “Clear mind, full heart, can’t lose,” she says—a mantra that defined her competitive career and now guides her approach to building better swimming gear for the future.
